India, March 17 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday inaugurated the Tulip Festival-2026 and formally threw open the iconic Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden at foothills of Zabarwan mountain range here.

According to the details available, the garden has been adorned with around 18 lakh tulips representing more than 70 vibrant varieties, creating a breathtaking floral display expected to attract thousands of tourists and locals during the blooming period.

In addition to tulips nearly one lakh other bulbous flowers including daffodils, hyacinths, muscari and ranunculus have been planted across the terraced landscape to enhance the garden's beauty and diversity.
