India, March 24 -- A case was registered against a hotel in Pahalgam tourist resort on Monday, for allegedly concealing the stay of 23 foreigners, including 19 British citizens, police said.
Officials said an FIR was registered against the Hotel Misty Mountains Laddi at Pahalgam, in the Kashmir's Anantnag district, for violating Sections 8 and 23(b) of the Foreigners and Immigration Act, 2025, and potentially compromising the security of the foreign tourists.
During a routine check in the Dehwatoo area, police found that a group of foreign tourists had checked into the hotel on Sunday evening. However, officials said the hotel management wilfully and deliberately concealed their stay details from the Pahalgam Police Station.
