Jammu, Aug. 4 -- Priyanka Vadra has been in the news for her gaumutra (cow urine) jibe directed at Professor V. Kamakoti. Notably, Professor Kamakoti was among those honoured with the Padma Shri this year. His academic and professional achievements are testimony to the merit on which the honour was conferred.
After failing to secure admission through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-and reportedly scoring only one mark in Chemistry-he pursued Computer Science Engineering at a college affiliated with the University of Madras. He later earned a Ph.D. from IIT Madras (now Chennai) and subsequently joined the same institution as a faculty member.
