Shimla, June 2 -- The Foundation Day of Telangana was celebrated with enthusiasm at Lok Bhavan, Shimla, today as part of the nationwide initiative 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat', envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strengthen national unity and promote cultural integration among the States and Union Territories of India.

Speaking on the occasion, Governor Kavinder Gupta said that the celebration of State Foundation Days provides an opportunity to honour the rich cultural heritage, traditions and contributions of different States while fostering the spirit of national integration.
