Jammu, May 20 -- Security forces on Wednesday recovered a suspected drone-dropped packet containing narcotics from the border belt of Jammu district, officials said.

The packet was found in Bahadurpur Panchayat of the Bishnah area after a local resident noticed it while working in his field and alerted authorities.

Teams of the Border Security Force and police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area soon after receiving the information.

The packet was seized, and a forensic team was called to examine its contents. Officials said the recovered substance is suspected to be heroin.

Further investigation is underway.
