Jammu Tawi, July 3 -- The Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board (SASB) has advised pilgrims intending to undertake the annual Amarnath Yatra to complete advance registration before arriving in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that Tatkal (on-the-spot) registration facilities are extremely limited owing to the prescribed daily ceiling on pilgrims.
In an important advisory issued on Thursday, the authorities said that, as directed by the Supreme Court, the maximum number of pilgrims permitted on the Yatra route each day has been fixed and strict adherence to this limit is mandatory to ensure the safety of devotees and the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
