Srinagar, Aug. 18 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday called for strengthening social harmony, interfaith dialogue and a deeper sense of responsibility towards nature and all living beings, saying India's civilisational ethos is rooted in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam-the world is one family-and respect for diversity.
Addressing the Mulaqat programme in Pulwama, organised by the Save Youth, Save Future Foundation to promote interfaith dialogue and harmony, the Lieutenant Governor said India had for centuries welcomed diverse faiths, cultures and traditions, whose confluence is also reflected in the ethos of Kashmiriyat.
