Jammu Tawi, Aug. 15 -- In a heartrending scene on the rain-lashed Nagpur-Jabalpur highway, a 36-year-old man rode 80 kilometres with his wife's lifeless body strapped to his motorcycle, after she was killed in a tragic road accident.
Police said Amit Yadav and his wife, Gyarshi, were returning home near Nagpur when the accident occurred near Deolapar. Gyarshi was thrown off the bike and run over by a truck. With no mobile network, no traffic on the desolate stretch, and heavy rain making rescue impossible, Amit made the desperate decision to secure her body to the pillion seat using a dupatta and ride home.
