New Delhi, April 24 -- Raghav Chadha has resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), marking a major political shift that could weaken AAP's strength in the Rajya Sabha.

Chadha criticised his former party, saying it had "strayed from its founding principles" and calling it "corrupt and compromised." "I was a right man in a wrong party," he remarked.

The development follows his recent removal as AAP's deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha, indicating a breakdown in ties with the leadership.
