India, Feb. 13 -- In a significant development, the Jammu & Kashmir Government has said that a policy regarding the establishment of private universities in the Union Territory has been framed.Kashmir tourism packages

In a written response to a cut motion moved by Peoples Conference MLA Sajad Gani Lone, Minister in charge of Higher Education Sakina Itoo said that a policy for setting up private universities in Jammu & Kashmir has been prepared.

"...the demands regarding the setting up of private universities in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir have been framed by the Higher Education Department following comprehensive deliberations and are currently under examination in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs," sh...
