Jammu Tawi, Aug. 27 -- Police seized 4,080 pregabalin capsules and apprehended a man in the Reasi district on Wednesday, officials said.
Pregabalin is a prescription medicine, but it is also misused recreationally and diverted into the illicit drug trade.
The accused, identified as Ankush Kumar, a resident of Chak Mathyani in the Rajouri district, was apprehended by the police at Banganga, they said.
According to the police, Kumar was allegedly carrying a black polythene bag which was searched and found to contain 4,080 pregabalin capsules.
The capsules were packed in four transparent polythene packets containing 1,000 capsules each and eight strips containing 80 capsules, they said.
