India, March 11 -- The Government of India on Tuesday said that more than 99 percent of eligible rural habitations in Jammu & Kashmir have been connected with all-weather roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).Maps

Replying to an unstarred question in Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Rural Development Kamlesh Paswan said that out of 2,140 eligible habitations in Jammu & Kashmir, as many as 2,132 have been provided road connectivity so far.

The government said that the PMGSY programme, launched in 2000, has connected 1,62,802 out of 1,63,288 eligible habitations across the country, achieving around 99.7 percent connectivity.
