New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- In a rare gesture of benevolence towards the youth who indulged in to abusive him, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said he wanted to forgive the children who indulged into used abusive language against him during a Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.

In a video message shared on X, Modi referred to the controversy and appealed for restraint, constructive engagement and unity.

"I want to forgive the children who abused me," the Prime Minister said.

Calling for a positive approach, Modi said abuses could not resolve issues and urged people to guide those who may have been misguided.
