Srinagar, Aug. 13 -- The Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs has recommended adequate and timely financial support for the expeditious completion of works under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Jammu and Kashmir.

In its report, tabled in Parliament on August 7, 2026, the panel noted that the pace of implementation of JJM in the Union Territory has been hit by funding constraints.

"While acknowledging these achievements, the Committee notes that the pace of implementation has been affected by funding constraints, resulting in some delays in completion of infrastructure and coverage of the remaining rural households.
