Jammu Tawi, April 21 -- Girls outshine boys with 90.42 pass percentage in class 10 results of Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education that were declared on Tuesday.
Congratulating the successful candidates, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Health Minister Sakina Itoo praised the hard work and dedication of the students and also acknowledged the efforts of teachers and parents.
An overall pass percentage stood at 88.85 per cent, which is much better than last year's 79.94 per cent, a spokesperson said, JKBOSE spokesperson said.
A total of 50,754 candidates appeared in the examination in the summer zone of Jammu division, out of which 45,094 candidates have qualified, the spokesperson said.
