Srinagar, June 11 -- Stating that people are waiting for the Centre to fulfil its promise, National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said that they don't want only business rules but they demand the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood.
Speaking to reporters during his visit to Sarnal in South Kashmir's Anantnag district, Dr Farooq said, "We don't want only business rules but also the restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir, as promised. We are waiting for this commitment to be fulfilled. The Prime Minister himself had assured Omar Abdullah that the promise would be honoured, and we expect him to deliver on it."
