Jammu Tawi, Aug. 1 -- The Centre on Friday said there is no shortage of fertilisers, including Urea, DAP, MOP and NPKS, in Jammu and Kashmir.

Responding to a starred question raised by Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the Lok Sabha regarding shortage of fertilisers, particularly DAP, Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Jagat Prakash Nadda, said the government assesses state-wise and month-wise requirements before every cropping season and supplies fertilisers through monthly supply plans.

He said that in Jammu and Kashmir during 2025-26, the requirement of Urea was 1.46 lakh metric tonnes (LMT), against availability of 2.24 LMT and DBT sales of 1.60 LMT. The requirement of DAP stood at 0.46 LMT against availability of 0.61 LM...
