KATHMANDU, April 30 -- Nepal Airlines on Thursday issued an apology after a social media post triggered controversy for depicting Jammu and Kashmir as part of Pakistan in a "network map."

The airline said the map contained "significant cartographic inaccuracies" that did not reflect the official position of Nepal or the airline, and confirmed that the post had been deleted following backlash.

"We sincerely apologize for the error in the network map recently shared on our social media channels. The map contained inaccuracies regarding international boundaries," the airline said in a statement posted on X.
