Jammu Tawi, April 7 -- Traffic Police on Monday said the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remained blocked in Ramban district due to landslides and shooting stones.

An official said that the highway remained blocked between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote in Ramban, and restoration work is underway. "A decision on reopening will be taken after assessing the road condition," he added.

He said the Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag Road has been closed for vehicular movement following orders issued by the district administration.

On Tuesday, he said,  the traffic on Srinagar-Leh Highway  will be allowed from Srinagar towards Kargil for LMVs and HMVs  carrying essential goods, subject to fair weather and road clearance.
