Jammu, Aug. 20 -- Around 12 houses have been damaged, including two that suffered severe damage, after land subsidence struck Kheri village in Jammu district, also affecting agricultural land and a road, officials said.
The incident has triggered panic among residents of Kheri and adjoining areas of Bantalab, where renewed land-sinking activity has been reported. The affected areas are located around 12 kilometres from Jammu city.
Revenue and police teams have visited the affected locations and assessed the situation, while officials are monitoring the area to determine the extent of damage and possible risks to residents and infrastructure.
