Srinagar, Sept. 7 -- The Ladakh administration has transferred and posted 27 Medical Officers, consultants and National Health Mission (NHM) doctors across various health institutions in the Union Territory with immediate effect.

The orders were issued by the Health and Medical Education Department under Order No. 55-LA-H and ME of 2026, dated September 5, in the interest of administration and with the approval of the competent authority.

Among the Medical Officers transferred, Dr Fatima Bano, Medical Superintendent at QAAM Hospital, Kargil, has been posted as Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Kargil, while Dr Farhana Iqbal, District Immunization Officer, Leh, has been appointed Medical Superintendent of QAAM Hospital, Kargil.
