Srinagar, April 29 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Srinagar of Crime Branch Kashmir has registered a case of fraud and human trafficking after a man was allegedly duped by a fake job consultancy and trafficked to Cambodia on the pretext of overseas employment, officials said.

According to a statement, the case was registered following a complaint alleging fraud in connection with an overseas job placement. The complainant stated that he was lured by an unauthorized consultancy operating from the Pattan area, which promised him a job as a computer operator abroad with a lucrative monthly salary.
