Srinagar, Sept. 9 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) received 94,546 applications for 1,263 posts during 2025-26, highlighting the intense competition for government employment in the Union Territory.
According to the JKPSC's 67th annual report, the Commission made 1,152 selections against the 1,263 posts referred to it during the year.
The figures mean that there were roughly 75 applications for every post referred to the Commission during the year, although the number of applicants for individual examinations varied depending on the post and eligibility requirements.
The report said the Commission conducted 52 written tests and preliminary examinations and two mains examinations during 2025-26.
