J&K Transport Department Orders Action Against 25-Year-Old Commercial Vehicles
India, Oct. 1 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Transport Department has ordered strict enforcement against commercial vehicles that have completed 25 years, directing field offices to seize such vehicles and lodge FIRs if they are found plying on public roads.Geographic Reference
Transport Commissioner J&K Vishesh Paul Mahajan appealed to owners of commercial vehicles that have crossed the prescribed age limit to voluntarily scrap them in accordance with applicable regulations.
In a post on X, Mahajan urged owners to take immediate action and scrap vehicles that have completed 25 years. He also said directions had been issued to concerned field offices to intensify enforcement against such vehicles.
