Jammu, July 22 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has prescribed strict timelines for the release of funds and processing of bills to ensure timely execution of development projects and streamline the payment cycle across departments.
According to a Government order issued by the Finance Department, Administrative Departments have been directed to release Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) funds to Heads of Departments (HoDs) within 10 days of their receipt from the Finance Department. HoDs must further transfer the funds to executing agencies or Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) within the next 10 days, failing which the unutilised funds will be reversed.
