India, Feb. 9 -- Security forces continued search-and-cordon operations in the Chatroo area of Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Sunday as Operation Trashi-I entered its third week, officials said.
Troops of the 7 Assam Rifles are carrying out intensive searches deep inside forested areas to trace terrorists believed to be hiding in the region.
Operation Trashi-I was launched by security forces to hunt down militants operating in the area, and the searches have been ongoing for over 20 days as part of sustained counter-terror efforts.
