SRINAGAR, April 15 -- Police in Jammu and Kashmir arrested five more miscreants during overnight raids in Sopore in connection with violence linked to a recent student protest at a government school, officials said on Tuesday.

According to police, the accused had infiltrated a peaceful protest at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School and triggered law and order disturbances, including vandalism and damage to public property.

Police said sustained operations are underway, with 13 more suspects identified and efforts ongoing to apprehend them. "Raids and search operations shall continue till all such elements are brought to justice," the statement said.
