Udhampur, Apr 20: At least nineteen passengers died and several others were injured after a bus skidded off the road in Kagort village of Ramnagar', here this morning

Reports said that soon after the incident, police, rescue teams and locals rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma said there is a very sharp curve at the spot. "The driver may have lost control while negotiating the sharp curve. The vehicle hit a parapet and rolled down into the gorge," he said.
