Jammu Tawi, Aug 31: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience generally hot and humid weather on September 1, with light to moderate rain and thundershowers expected at many places, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar said on Monday.

The weather office said brief spells of intense heavy showers are likely, particularly in the Jammu division during the early morning and late afternoon or evening hours.

It advised people to remain cautious as brief intense showers at localised places may trigger flash floods, mudslides and landslides during August 31 and September 1-2.
