India, March 24 -- The Delhi Legislative Assembly received a bomb threat email on Tuesday warning of explosions at the Assembly building and Delhi Metro's Vidhan Sabha station, hours before Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was scheduled to present the Budget.
The threat email also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
According to reports, the office of Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta confirmed receipt of the emails. Police sources said the first message was received at 7.28 am, followed by another at 7.49 am, both referencing a Khalistani referendum.
