Jammu Tawi, Aug. 12 -- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness another spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of the Jammu division on Wednesday, with the weather department warning of flash floods, landslides and mudslides in vulnerable areas.

The Meteorological Centre said one or two spells of light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected at many places across the Union Territory on August 12.

However, some districts of the Jammu division could receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, while isolated areas of Kashmir may experience brief spells of intense showers, it said.

The advisory comes after several parts of the Jammu region received significant rainfall during the past 24 hours.
