India, March 12 -- Security forces busted a terrorist hideout in north Bandipora district and recovered a cache of arms and explosives during a search operation, officials said on Wednesday.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs about the presence of a militant hideout, security forces launched a search operation in the area, the officials said.

During the operation, the forces recovered a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosive material from the hideout.

The recovered arms include a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher along with five rounds and a light machine gun (LMG) with two belt boxes, the officials said.
