Jammu Tawi, May 15 -- Police have registered an FIR against a social media page for allegedly circulating provocative and inflammatory content related to a sensitive issue reported from a village in Udhampur district, officials said.
According to the police, an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and an investigation into the matter has been initiated.
Officials said that provocative and inflammatory videos and content were allegedly uploaded and circulated through the social media page 'Udhampur Awaaz' on Instagram, which had the potential to disturb public peace, communal harmony and law and order.
