Jammu Tawi, July 23 -- The Crime Branch on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against a former policeman for allegedly duping several people on the false promise of securing them employment in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Special Crime Wing (SCW) Jammu, Sanjay Parihar said the chargesheet was filed in a Jammu court against former selection grade constable Mohd Tahir, a resident of Mendhar tehsil of Poonch, in connection with an FIR registered earlier this year under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The case stemmed from two written complaints alleging that the accused fraudulently induced the complainants by promising jobs in the court, he said.
