Jammu, May 25 -- Despite claims of the administration of containing 'self-styled' journalists across the Union Territory, operation of such journalists is reportedly going unabated in Sunderbani.
According to sources, some self-styled reporters are allegedly misusing the identity of journalism for blackmail, intimidation, and personal financial gain.
"Some persons allegedly roam with microphones, bikes, and vehicles posing as media professionals while simultaneously working as contractors," said sources, adding that these individuals allegedly exploit fear among officials in departments such as Rural Development and Public Works Department (PWD) to secure undue benefits and influence.
