Srinagar, July 18 -- Jammu and Kashmir has delivered one of its best-ever performances in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026, with several students from the Valley securing top ranks and inspiring aspiring doctors across the region.
Hadiya Nisar from Anantnag emerged as the highest-ranked candidate from J&K, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 99 with a 99.9931 percentile. Another top achiever, Zaidan Wani, secured AIR 124 with over 690 marks, placing him among the country's top 125 candidates. Hadiya and Zaidan are among only 138 candidates nationwide to score above 690 marks.
