Jammu Tawi, July 22 -- Cyber crime cases across the country crossed the one-lakh mark in 2024, with the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) registering 1,01,928 cases, according to data tabled in the Lok Sabha by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

Replying to an unstarred question in Parliament, the Ministry said Jammu and Kashmir recorded 114 cyber-crime cases in 2024, compared to 185 in 2023, while Ladakh reported one case during the year.

According to the NCRB figures, J&K registered 120 cases in 2020, 154 in 2021, 173 in 2022, 185 in 2023 and 114 in 2024, whereas Ladakh reported one, five, three, one and one case respectively during the same period.
