Jammu, June 19 -- Says present J&K regime has failed on multiple fronts
Srinagar, June 18: Member of Parliament and senior National Conference leader Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi on Thursday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to weaken and divide opposition parties across the country to facilitate the implementation of major legislative initiatives such as the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and "One Nation, One Election."
Addressing a public gathering in South Kashmir, Ruhullah alleged that the BJP aims to secure a two-thirds majority in Parliament by engineering splits within opposition parties. He claimed that such a majority would enable the ruling party to push through key legislative proposals.
