Jammu, July 31 -- Jammu Tawi, July 30 (UNI) In a landmark development for higher education in Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army has paved the way for the expansion of the University of Jammu by facilitating the transfer of more than 18 acres of land that has remained under its possession for over three decades.

The move marks a significant breakthrough in resolving a long-pending issue and is expected to boost the University's infrastructure and academic development.

It has been learnt that the union Ministry of Defence has approved the transfer of the land, a move expected to significantly strengthen the University's long-term infrastructure and academic expansion plans.
