Srinagar, July 10 -- A day after assessing operational preparedness in Kashmir, Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth on Thursday reviewed the security situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and the counter-insurgency grid in the Pir Panjal region.
An official told that the Army chief visited forward areas in Poonch, Rajouri and Sunderbani, where he was briefed by the White Knight Corps on the prevailing security environment, operational deployments and the overall counter-insurgency framework along the LoC.
The official said that senior commanders apprised the Army Chief of the surveillance architecture, field-level innovations, integrated operational readiness and the progress of infrastructure development in the forward areas.
