Srinagar, Jul 14: The annual Amarnath Yatra has scripted history this year, with the pilgrimage crossing the three lakhs pilgrim mark within just 12 days, registering a nearly 37 per cent increase in footfall compared to the previous year.
Official figures available revealed that 26,308 pilgrims paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine on Tuesday, taking the total number of devotees since the commencement of the Yatra on July 3 to 3,01,926 (three lakh one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six).
During the same period in 2025, a total of 2,20,511 (two lakh twenty thousand five hundred and eleven) pilgrims had undertaken the pilgrimage. The latest figures indicat...
