Jammu, Aug. 22 -- In a significant verdict in a five-year-old acid attack case, the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Kathua, presided over by Judge Pravin Pandoh, on Friday sentenced Vipul Sharma to life imprisonment and Reva Devi to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for the offence punishable under Section 326-A of the Indian Penal Code.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Vipul Sharma and Rs 50,000 on Reva Devi. In case of non-payment of the fine, both convicts will undergo an additional three months of imprisonment.
