Jammu Tawi, July 12 -- The Special Crime Wing (SCW) of the Crime Branch Jammu has registered a case against a Jammu resident for allegedly cheating a local youth on the pretext of arranging a study visa to Australia.
According to officials, the accused, identified as Puneet Singh, a resident of Upper Gadigarh, Jammu, allegedly collected Rs.3,58,040 through multiple online transactions between July and October 2025 after promising to secure an Australian study visa for the complainant.
The complainant alleged that the accused later called him to Delhi on the basis of a purported biometric appointment and office letter, which was subsequently found to be forged. The accused is presently reported to be residing in Sydney, Australia, and has ...
