India, March 17 -- The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday filed a chargesheet against a revenue official in a case involving alleged misuse of official position in Udhampur district, officials said.Geographic Reference
The ACB presented the chargesheet before the court of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption Udhampur, against Mohd Saleem Banday, a former Patwari Halqa Mand in Udhampur, on allegations of illegally attesting mutation on August 9, 2006, under agrarian reforms act in favour of certain beneficiaries.
According to officials, a case was registered under the anti-corruption law following a verification by the ACB into allegations that ownership rights were conferred out of turn through misuse of official authority, they said.
