India, March 11 -- The Government of India on Tuesday informed the Lok Sabha that over 90 percent land parcels in Jammu & Kashmir have been geo-referenced under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).Maps
According to the details shared by Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a total of 68,36,683 land parcels have been identified in Jammu & Kashmir, out of which 62,00,609 parcels (90.70 percent) have already been geo-referenced.
The Minister said the geo-referencing of cadastral maps is being carried out under DILRMP to ensure precise land boundaries and minimise disputes related to land ownership.
