SHIMLA, Aug. 8 -- Seven passengers were killed and 11 others injured after a private bus overturned and plunged onto a lower road in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district on Saturday morning, police said.
The accident occurred around 7:15 am near Chalunj Mor on the Bairagarh-Tissa road, when the bus was travelling from Bairagarh towards Chamba, they said.
The ill-fated bus met with the accident on the 27-kilometre mountain stretch through the remote Churah Valley, a route known for its narrow roads and steep drop-offs. The road is also a key link towards the high-altitude Sach Pass.
