6.67 lakh households voluntarily submit census details in J&K
Srinagar, June 1 -- In a record of sorts, as many as 6.67 lakh households in Jammu and Kashmir have voluntarily submitted census details through the self-enumeration portal before the commencement of Houselisting Operations, which began on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing media today, Amit Sharma, Chief Principal Census Officer and Director Census Operations for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, said that the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir has emerged as the leading Union Territory and ranks 8th among states in the country in self-enumeration under Census 2027.
"More than 6.67 lakh households in J&K voluntarily submitted their census details through the official self-enumeration portal," he said.
