Srinagar, July 31 -- On the 28th day of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra 5,211 pilgrims paid obeisance at holy cave shrine, nestled in Himalayas, taking the total number of devotees who have completed the pilgrimage to 4,46,788 (Four lakh forty six thousand seven hundred and eighty eight)
According to figures available, 3,766 men, 1,160 women, 126 children, 22 sadhus, 14 sadhvis, five transgender devotees, two foreign women pilgrims and 116 security personnel had darshan on Thursday.
The pilgrimage is now on the verge of crossing the 4.5 lakh mark despite weather-related disruptions and temporary suspension on several occasions due to landslides and restoration works along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
