TEHRAN, Sept. 2 -- At least four people were killed and 68 others injured after a US military attack hit a wedding ceremony in Kuhestak in Sirik County of Iran's southern Hormozgan province, local officials said.
Ahmad Nafisi, deputy governor of Hormozgan, confirmed that the number of injured in the attack had risen to 68. Earlier, Nafisi had reported that four people were killed in the strike.
The attack on the wedding ceremony has drawn strong condemnation from Iranian officials, with Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament, warning that Iran would not allow the incident to go unpunished.
