Jammu Tawi, Aug. 1 -- A total of 373 Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) were operational across 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir as on June 30, 2026, the Centre informed the Lok Sabha on Friday.
The figures were provided by Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers Anupriya Patel in reply to an unstarred question on the number of operational Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras across the country, including district-wise details.
According to the district-wise data furnished by the government, Jammu has the highest number of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in J&K at 85, followed by Srinagar with 37 and Anantnag with 34. Budgam and Pulwama have 23 each, while Baramulla has 21 and Samba 20.
